Webcast user feedback is very important to us. Our clients drive our development.

That’s why we hold regular user groups where we meet with our users and hear what they’ve got to tell us. Last month, fifteen of our clients got together at the fabulous Camden Town Hall for the 2018 user group.

Present features

We started the morning with a run-through of Connect features including resources and agendas, JIT slides and social media. Then we moved on to talk about our product road map. Upcoming development features include better CMS integration and support chat. We also enjoyed a practical demonstration of BeyerDynamic microphones from Matt Nettlefold from Polar.

Of course, no user group would be complete without a little bit of razzle dazzle and we spent quite a bit of time talking through our fabulous new transcription and subtitling feature. It was great to hear client perspectives on this: what they love and what they want to see more of. Importantly, we heard more about how clients use this feature which is a very useful guide for its future development. Our clients were particularly keen on live subtitling. Watch this space!

Future plans

Our user experience designer, Michael, asked clients to tell us their pain points and share suggestions for new features. We heard clients’ frustrations about communicating with the office: and we’re already looking at ways to make that easier (e.g. better notifications in our CRM system). The group also came up with some great development ideas which we’ve fed into our future road map. These included:

  • Full control of the cameras from the tablet
  • A simpler way of editing video
  • A straightforward way of setting up Twitter alerts
  • A feature to pause the livestream for confidentiality, whilst retaining the video capture.
  • Microsite layout templates so that clients can adjust the look of their pages for different meeting type.
