Public-i are very pleased to announce that we are now a part of the Lyvia Group in the UK.

Lyvia was founded in Sweden 2020 with the goal of being an active owner and business partner to small and medium-sized companies. Lyvia specialises in backing entrepreneurial companies offering software solutions and niche IT services. Lyvia’s acquisition of Public-i is the first transaction by the recently established UK team.

Founded in 2000, Public-i specialise in webcasting, meeting management and audio-visual solutions for local government. Proprietary technology pioneered by Public-i allows participants to vote and share confidential information in a completely secure environment. Today, its products and services are used by over 25 per cent of local government organisations and councils in the UK, along with several partners in Ireland and Denmark, with plans to support more local authorities in the UK and Europe in coming years.

Democracy needs an injection of technology,” said Rob Dembitz, Investment Partner at Lyvia Group in the UK. “Local government takes the decisions that affect everyone directly. Public-i clears the way for people everywhere to get involved in these crucial discussions.

Public-i CEO, Alan Price, says: “Lyvia’s acquisition of our company offers us an exciting opportunity to further develop our market-leading products and build on our heritage of first-class customer service. Throughout the acquisition process, Lyvia have shown an appreciation for our company culture of working as partners with Local Government and we are excited to start working with a parent company which shares our ethos. With Lyvia’s support, we are looking to continue to drive product development and bring more features to our client base.”

Public-i are proud of our commitment to our clients, to creating market-leading software and to our team. We will maintain and build upon these commitments as part of Lyvia, and we are enthusiastic about the opportunities this partnership will bring.
