Public-i is the developer of Connect Remote, which is a video conferencing solution tailored for local authorities.

What personal information does Connect Remote process?

To provide the Connect Remote service, Public-i processes meeting related content, which may contain personal information. This is temporarily stored to enable user functionality in a Connect Remote video meeting.  Examples include:

• If you use the chat function, chat content is stored during the meeting.
• If you livestream a meeting, the recording of the meeting is uploaded to our webcast hosting service (Public-i Connect).
• In addition, users of Connect Remote have to provide a name, and have the option of providing an email address, and link to a picture that will be displayed to participants in the meeting.

How is this information used?

Public-i uses this information to: 

• Deliver and improve the Connect Remote service
• Identify and troubleshoot problems
• Investigate fraud or abuse

Public-i does not share your information with other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes, or pass on your details to other websites. Public-i may pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so.
